This past weekend the Mason Math Team sent 17 students to Lakota West to compete in the Rose Hulman Competition. The competition was 20 multiple choice questions to be completed in 1 hour. Mason did very well with 4 competitors in the top ten overall. Prithvi Jami and Dennis Tseng tied for 1st place in the 9th grade Male Division and 10th place overall. In the the 10th grade male division, Tong Zhan was 1st place with the only perfect score in the competition while Raymond Tan placed 2nd in the division overall. Other students with noteworthy finishes were: Kevin Lu 7th place 9th grade Male Division, Ray Wang 6th place 10th grade Male Division, Julian Lu 10th place 10th grade Male Division, Ben Jiang 12th place 11th grade Male Division, and Steven Ross 13th place 11th grade Male Division. The Math team has two more competitions before winter break. The next will be the second Ohio Math League on November 28th in the Harvard Room. Then on December 9th, Mason will take about 10 competitiors to the Mu Alpha Theta Regional Compeititon in Dayton, Ohio. MHS Orchestra selected bt Blind Audition to Perform at State Convention
